UC Berkeley's Resources
This section discusses resources on campus for survivors of SVSH, supporters of survivors of SVSH, and individuals/organizations seeking SVSH prevention information.
Campus resources for SVSH services fall into a variety of categories:
PATH to Care: PATH to Care is an official UC Berkeley organization that focuses on SVSH prevention, advocacy, training, and healing. They provide resources for survivors of SVSH and allies to survivors. PATH to Care offers confidential services to students at UC Berkeley. Office for the Prevention of Harassment and Discrimination (OPHD): OPHD oversees UC Berkeley compliance with regulations regarding discrimination and harassment, including SVSH. OPHD is the main resource for reporting instances of SVSH to the university. University Health Services (UHS): UHS can provide health services in the immediate or non-immediate aftermath of an incident of SVSH. UHS may require financial compensation for services, depending on your insurance information. In certain circumstances, services will be billed to your CalCentral Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS): Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) provides crisis resources, individual counseling, group counseling, and psychiatry. Crisis resources are available via CAPS, who facilitates a crisis hotline for mental health-related emergencies. If you call this crisis hotline, you will be provided with emergency resources. Disabled Students’ Program (DSP): If you are in need of disability accomodations in the aftermath of an instance of SVSH, you can contact DSP to access academic and workplace accommodations. Immediate academic and workplace accommodations can be managed through PATH to Care, but long-term accommodations should be referred to DSP. |

Bay Area Women Against Rape (BAWAR): BAWAR is a crisis center offering free and confidential counseling, advocacy, support groups, and resources to survivors of sexual violence.
Ruby’s Place: Ruby’s Place provides housing and shelter, mental health and trauma services, and youth advocacy for survivors of sexual violence, human trafficking, and domestic violence.
Family Violence Law Center (FVLC): FVLC offers free legal services, crisis intervention, and on-site support to survivors of domestic violence, sexual violence, and other forms of gender-based violence.
